Funding opportunities with FABU

Since the university was founded, FABU has been supporting the University of Wuppertal through the charitable commitment of around 500 members.

It supports the university's tasks through membership fees and donations (tax-deductible). In addition to general donations, there are also donations earmarked by the sponsor.

In all cases, support for the university is coordinated with the university management to ensure that the donations are used in a targeted manner - and not just to compensate for insufficient funding allocated to the university from the state budget.

The following stand out from the broad and diverse range of support provided by FABU

• the financial support of the university for major investment projects such as the construction of the guest house or the development of a separate company for academic continuing education
• the regular awarding of prizes for final degree theses
• Support for excursions and research projects

A large number of financial support contributions from FABU for events, excursions, publications by university members - professors* as well as students - serve the university in the same way as the 'big projects'.
